Civil engineers are one of the most important individuals in any community. Unlike some engineers who help individuals construct buildings, civil engineers work for the greater good of the community and design, construct and help maintain civil constructs. These include bridges, dams, roads, canals and buildings. As such, they ensure the design, creation and maintenance of your community’s infrastructure. Many civil engineers work to not only do the above with the physical environment but with the natural environment as well. As such, they also work to preserve the beauty and nature in a community.
