An engineer is an individual who has the ability and education necessary to apply the principles of science and mathematics in order to build bridges, roads, buildings and other structures that benefit society. In addition to building large structures, engineers are responsible for the development and cleanup of dangerous chemicals and the creation of important medical equipment.
The field of engineering is vast. Each engineer has his or her own specialty and concentration that takes years of study to master. Engineering, essentially, is the entire process of producing technical systems and products.
