From small to large gardens, we've got the inspiration you need. Remember if you have a small garden opt for focal points and if you indend to entertain, make sure seating is positioned towards one side of the garden.
When you want to add design to your backyard without taking up any space, a great option is to add a checkered floor pattern (above).
Making use of vertical space is always a good idea, as it draws the eye upwards and adds dimension.
Creating the same feeling at a fraction of the cost, you can build a four beam structure and decorate with vines.
Lastly, remember to keep it simple, you don't always need the vibrance of colourful flowers to set off a garden.
